When GW2 is released, it has been rumoured that Arena.Net may not continue to support GW1 if their is not enough player support. With GW2 set 250 years after the events in the Eye of the North expansion, do you have any ideas of how players can continue to interact with GW1 so it may still be supported? Perhaps a "time portal" where new missions, quests, games can be completed in GW1 that "affect" GW2 instances, or is it goodbye GW1. Please respond and thanks!
I can't imagine they would shut GW1 down completely. They'll certainly scale back the hosting and numbers of servers, but I'd be very surprised if they stopped supporting the game altogether. I expect they will maintain GW1 for a long time since many people in GW2 will have a hall of monuments and might wish to update it. That should be enough to keep it going.
