This site should strive to build and maintain a community that actively plays Anet games. As it stands now, it is a well managed depository of suggestions for a game that has not yet launched. Once GW2 hits the streets the primary function of Guild Wars Ideas & Feedback will evolve or perish. What do you suggest the site should do to prolong it's life after you trade your GW addiction for a GW2 habit?

The real strength of this site is its use of the grupthink engine to allow the community to vote on what they like and come to a consensus regarding any given concept. Any common forum can present a list of comments posted by users. The grupthink engine gives evolving data that is dynamically generated and refreshed; thus, anyone can quickly assess what is popular within the community.
What I'd like to see is more dynamic relation of the data generated. The obligatory cloud on the home page is a good step in that direction. What would be really sexy and intriguing would be an algorithm that would aggregate data from the most active and popular topic for a time period, a week for example, then create graphical data that could be seen on special, dynamic pages. Spore's web site does something like this, giving statistics on how many players are making creatures with 3 legs and such. This site could present things like a graphical chart that would represent how many people in the community are interested in Sylvari (based on the number of people who vote on answers and topics involving Sylvari).
Once GW2 is launched it would be nice to have this site become a form of hub or portal for popular community culture. Guilds could be listed and ranked, as could other fan sites and official data sources. Builds could be clearly evaluated within the community voting system, without relying on a panel of PvX judges. Relative value of items could be clearly delineated. I think the potential is tremendous.
Obviously, a site like www.guildwars2guru.com does a lot of things right. Still, it is forum based. This site could be a great compliment to that site and others like it. [show less]
One thing is discussion on updates on events and such. Next is helping out new people like links and wiki and such. This could be a useful place after being refreshed. The old information can be placed else where in a section as of intrest and hobbies. Other stuff may get erased that is way out dated and... [show more]

Other stuff may get erased that is way out dated and not useful any longer.
This could be the GW2 forum and help any other place that ncsoft and anet have plabnned ahead. [show less]
I think both of these ideas should be blended into this forum after GW2 comes out.
Brown Fang Thump why did you take so long at finding an answer to your own question? Well at least we have a clue maybe where to take this after things change around.

I'm sure others have their own ideas and I want to know what those are. It's the exchange of ideas that interests me most.
