#2 Add System for Targeting Minions
Being a minion bomber is absolute hell. It is one of the slowest moving, most difficult, most frustrating, but most powerful and fun-looking builds out there. While I am sure many players would be upset at this build being made more playable as it would render all the effort they put into learning this build unnecessary and rob them of their somewhat elite status, I put those people on the same level as that guy who suggested giving veteran players an instant kill signet to be used on noob who got lucky or had better builds than them. Anyway, targeting one's minions should never have been this tough. How about each minion is given an icon up in the corner of the screen which can be clicked to target them, or another window for observing minion status, like the party window could be added in. I mean, this isn't rocket science people! And it wouldn't just be useful to minion bombers. I'm sure healing spells, hex removal, and enchantment spells other than Death Nova would benefit as well. A whole range of new options might be opened up. OR even if that doesn't happen, at least we know minion bombing will be a hell of a lot easier.

Ture, I made this build for my Rit as a more of a back-burner project, and just now decided to begin practicing it, and keeping your minions alive is such a pain I went all the way to scrapping Olias's old build and making him a Custom Support guy, with BiP, Blood of the Master (it heals ALL allied minions, not just yours) heal area, etc. and I've completely given up on trying to have any tactics with choosing which minio to blow up, and taken one alternative skill that just picks one at random for me.
Definatly.. I think it would be even better if they could also add 1 flag on the radar tools to control all minions.. i hate it wen they run off on their own
That would effectively remove a stance I've had on minions ever since I animated my first Bone Minion in Pre-Searing, that being that they are Meat Heads.
Gotta side with Zephrr. Minions are supposed to be mindless.
Sry if I gave the wrong impression, I hate that minions are meate heads. The Necromancer is supposed to control them, yet all they do is follow him, he can't even tell them where to go or what to attack.
I have to agree. I think the best solution would be mini icons spread across the bottum on the screen, right above your character's health and energy, depicting simply the individual Minion's type and health (in a manner similar to Warcraft 3 or Ages of Empires), and possibly numbers over the heads of minions on screen corrisponding with the icons at the bottum.
There are a number of Death Magic skills that target individual minions; Death Nova, Jagged Bones, Feast of the Dead, Putred Flesh and Taste of Death. Several Ritualist skills can also target minions. Hitting the right minion with the right skill is a difficult task to say the least with the current system. A hero is almost strictly better at it than a human player, which takes a bit of fun out of usuing such skills.
I believe the best solution is to put them under their own category in the party windows, I mean, seriously. Enough with scouting the place 2 put Death Nova on your minions.
personally i just use the hero for both my mm and my monks and leave it at that, the comp does it better than i ever can and focus on killing the enemys
