Gamestop.com is promoting its pre-order of GW2 at http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=75863 for 49.99 US$.
Of course, this may have nothing to do with reality because launch dates can always be changed. Still, if you're desperate to be the first kid on your block to have a copy of GW2 and bask in the glory of vaporware until the game is actually released, getting this pre-order may just be your best shot. I stumbled upon this listing while looking for other MMOs and I'm posting it here just for the heck of it.

Because the launch dates havn't been finalised yet (and the game is almost certainly a 2011 release) I wouldn't risk the $50. I know that I will be pre-ordering a bit closer to 2011 when more things have been finalized.
I want the collectors edition anyway. Plus the only official thing there is will be what Arenanet tells us. So I'm going to go by that and that only.
There will be loads of time to pre-order before the game's out. I'd like to get some more information about the release timeline before I lay down any cash.
Yea, thanks for the info, but I too will wait for closer to the launch date before pre-ordering!
